About Our Chapter

The mission of BNI is to help members increase their business through a structured, positive, and professional “word of mouth” program that enables them to develop long-term, meaningful relationships with quality business professionals.

A BNI chapter provides members in variety of occupations an opportunity each week to meet with each other and pass qualified referrals. At weekly meetings, every member has 45 seconds to introduce their business and share the type of referral they would like. Because only one person from each profession is allowed in each BNI chapter, a person can "lock out" their competition by joining a BNI chapter before their competition does.BNI is based on this simple philosophy: “Givers gain.”

BNI is an international word-of-mouth referral organization with over 4,100 chapters in 26 countries. BNI has over 100 chapters in Maryland and D.C. alone. Last year, BNI members passed over a million referrals, which generated millions of dollars of new business for each other!
